Thanksgiving weekend 2007 found us near Spangler / Red Mountain area just south of Ridgecrest, CA. We headed up early Thursday morning, Wendy, I and our roommate Matt with his bike. It was a 4.5 hour drive from Carlsbad but we also stopped for breakfast on the way. Some of our party had been up there since Monday with most people coming out on Wednesday.
