Weather Hit Southern California
December 10th, 2007 at 02:33 pm by admin in AdventuresFinally got some rain in southern California the last couple of weeks. Headed out to Ocotillo Wells this sunday for a quick day run.
Whenever the desert gets some rain it’s a great time to go (course, there’s very few bad times). There was almost no dust at all and the sandy areas we’re easy since the water helps compact the sand. As a matter of fact I was able to easily climb Blow Sand, even going up the “down” route which is a lot steeper.
Not a whole lot of new rides this time. We made the traditional run to Shell Reef and then over to the Pumpkin patch. We had a small quad with us and some newer riders so just did a casual run. Nice and relaxing and the perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday out in the desert ![]()
