Sidewinder

Difficulty: Difficult. Steep, unforgiving rock slabs and boulders. Lockers and high ground clearance a must. Tight, scratchy bush. Not for stock vehicles. Very hot in the summer. Watch for snakes and poison oak.
Features: Although this trail is short, it’s packed with obstacles from start to finish. Conveniently finishes at Bobcat Meadow Campground.

Table Mountain

Difficulty: Moderate. Mild rocky climbs and washes with soft sand. Suitable for aggressive stock 4×4 SUVs. Very hot in the summer.
Features: Remote and scenic high desert drive. Hike from end of trail to ridge overlooking Carrizo Gorge with views of the historic San Diego and Imperial Valley Railroad, Table Mountain and Jacumba Valley.

Bronco Peak

Difficulty: Difficult. A nasty hardcore trail that climbs up and down gnarly Bronco Peak. Very steep with tight brush and large boulders. Several places are steep enough to cause a rollover if driver is not careful. Front and rear lockers recommended. Hot in the summer. Watch for snakes and poison oak.
Features: A fun, rock-crawling challenge. Rapidly climbs to an elevation above 4100 feet then quickly drops 700 feet into a canyon.
