Rattle Snake Canyon
November 10th, 2009 at 12:03 pm by admin in Jeep AdventuresWent out this weekend to Johnson Valley to offroad with the group. Instead of taking the boring Highway 247 out of Yucca Valley I decided to find Rattlesnake Canyon and take an offroad route.

Lower Control Arm Brackets
June 27th, 2009 at 06:48 pm by admin in Jeep AdventuresOur last trip ended in injury to the jeep. While going through a set of s-curves we tagged a rock with the lower control bracket which holds the axle to the frame via the control arms.
Was a very fun drive (from east of Salton Sea back to the real Sea (Carlsbad, CA) about 4 hours) hoping the other control brackets would hold up to the driving pressure and get us home.

North Glamis KOA

Hotel California
Last trip of the season and we headed out to the North Glamis KOA near Niland, CA. Due to scheduling issues we’ve had a really bad desert season, with this being our only trip out. All that time at the beach had spoiled us weather-wise as it was quite warm out on the trail.
